1 CALIFORNIA: Effective 1/1/12 CA is adopting NAIC model. The existing annuity training requirements
adopted 1/1/2005 remain in effect.Resident & non-resident producers must complete an 8 hour
California approved course prior to selling and a 4 hour ongoing course every license period thereafter.


2 IOWA: Agents must complete proper indexed annuity training in order to sell the insurance company’s products.
Only an Iowa course will sufficefor indexed annuity training. Approved courses are provided at http://www.pearsonvue.com.
For Indexed Products: In the Course Category select Indexed Products.Find the CE provider desired and click the approved
courses link to find the 4 hour Indexed Product course they offer. For AnnuityProducts: In the Course Category select Annuities.

3 TEXAS RECIPROCITY: Click on the following link to see which states the Texas DOI has approved reciprocity with as they

ONGOING TRAINING: Resident producers must complete 8 hour of CE courses in each 2 year license period.
Non-residents are not required to complete the ongoing CE training. Product Specific Training Requirement –
applies to resident and non-resident producers. The product specific training courses are required
beginning 3/1/12 for producers licensed prior to 9/1/11. Producers licensed on or after 9/1/11 must
complete the product training prior to selling annuities. Only courses taken after 9/1/11 will be
acceptable for course credit.
