  • Reminder: Anti-Money Laundering Guidelines. Companies that provide life insurance and annuity products are required to integrate financial professionals into their Anti-Money Laundering (AML) programs and to provide ongoing training. Financial professionals appointed with Corebridge Financial are required to complete approved AML training every two years dating back to the last date of AML training completion. Note: AML training is not required for the sale of Select-a-Term life insurance policies. See link for details.
  • New Quick Guide for New York Regulation 187. We are excited to announce that Lincoln DocuSign eContract Delivery will be the default method for Fixed, Fixed Indexed, and Variable Annuity contracts. DocuSign is a widely used software for electronic signature and digital transaction management.   • Life eTicket and MoneyGuard eApp iPipeline Update. After April 26, 2024, the Lincoln eSubmission Portal will be the only submission tool available for Life eTicket and MoneyGuard eApp submissions. Any case that is open in iPipeline must be submitted to Lincoln by April 26. After this time, any outstanding case must be restarted and submitted through the Lincoln eSubmission Portal. Note: For partners that have a direct account with iPipeline, there will be NO CHANGE in that experience. Producers will continue to log in directly to iPipeline for all life and MoneyGuard electronic submissions to Lincoln. See link for details.

  • Fluidless Underwriting Program. None of us like needles or having labs drawn, but a new life insurance policy often requires them. Until now. With Mutual of Omaha’s new Fluidless Underwriting Program, clients can now bypass the initial paramed exam for face amounts between $2,000,001 and $10,000,000. That means no extra labs or jabs for them to get the same great life insurance coverage they expect from us. See link for details.
  • New Proposal Requirement for Immediate Annuity Applications. Beginning May 1, 2024, a proposal must be included with all immediate annuity application submissions. This new requirement allows Mutual of Omaha to capture the necessary details regarding premium payouts and rate lock information at the time of application. Thus, helping to eliminate the reissuing of many policies due to missing information on the application. See link for details.

  • Advanced Planning Insights & Ideas: Recycled Proposals Make their Return as President Biden Releases Proposed 2025 Budget. On Monday, March 11, the Treasury released its general explanations of the Biden Administration’s $6.9 trillion budget for fiscal year 2025, known as the Greenbook. Its nearly 100 revenue proposals include ones similar to the 2024 budget proposals. Most of the revenue provisions were also part of the White House’s Build Back Better plan for the Fiscal Year 2022 Budget and represent Biden’s tax platform for the Presidential election campaign and the Democrats’ tax agenda for 2025 and beyond. As such, they should be taken as indicators of the Administration’s legislative priorities should President Biden win another term as president and Democrats take full control of Congress this November.
