Brokerage Manager

Department: Brokerage
Reports To: Vice President, Sales and Operations
Compensation: Salary + commission

Summary: The Brokerage Manager is responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive strategy to attract, retain, and optimize the production of new and existing life insurance agents, as well as affiliates, banking, credit union, association, and P&C accounts. The goal is to forge long-term relationships that secure the company’s revenue and growth. This is a sales role that requires phone and webinar contact, with an end goal of finding and convincing agents to submit business to Pinney Insurance Center. In the course of regular job duties, the Brokerage Manager will ensure all questions from agents and agencies get answered in a timely manner, establish relationships with representatives from insurance carriers, and attend trainings and meetings to stay current on product offerings in the marketplace. Ideal candidates will also have decent knowledge of annuity, LTC, and DI business. This is a full- time position.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Identify and develop relationships with potential agents using methods such as networking and cold calling.
  • Bring target prospects through the sales cycle, from initial demo to proposal, pricing negotiations, technical implementation, and into the onboarding process.
  • Onboard new agents. This includes welcoming them to Pinney Insurance Center and discussing commissions, contracting, and hierarchy.
  • Manage relationships of the partners you create, ensuring they’re receiving adequate education and support to be effective.
  • Promote the company at trade shows, seminars, and other events in target niches as needed.
  • Advise company management of developments in target marketplaces and propose future strategic initiatives within the company.
  • Develop referral sources and identify new clients to ensure a consistent flow of revenue. Identify key decision makers and determine the services, products, and combinations that will best serve and address their issues and objectives.
  • Transition new clients to internal team members and supervise ongoing marketing, support, and training programs to enhance opportunities for new business.
  • Identify additional opportunities for cross-selling, expanding products, and effectively obtaining new business.
  • Create client-specific business plans in conjunction with colleagues to ensure growth, retention, and cross-sell goals are met.
  • Create and implement effective marketing strategies to sell insurance plans to new clients or up-sell to existing clients.
  • Lead the development of custom solutions for clients as needed.
  • Ensure quality of deliverables and enforcement of critical deadlines through effective communication.
  • Coordinate with other department and team heads to ensure that quality standards are adhered to in all aspects of the business sales and service process.
  • Prioritize opportunities by requirements, size, and speed.
  • Add agents to our proprietary CRM software system, Insureio, and use the system to track all phone calls/email correspondence.
  • Host webinars for training on PIC tools (i.e., Insureio, Broker Gear, quoting widgets, marketing, A-team and Case Management).
  • Answer sales support and brokerage help desk phones.
  • Attend carrier webinar trainings to stay current on product offerings.
  • Work with and provide back-up for Internal Wholesaler for illustration support.
  • Work with in-house underwriter to answer underwriting questions.
  • Assist with Insureio feature enhancements to increase efficiencies and improve broker experience.
  • Has excellent communication skills, both laterally and to executive leadership.
  • Ability to use Windows-based computers, including the Microsoft Office suite of tools (Outlook, Excel, etc.).
  • Ability to use contact management systems and database software.

Education and/or Experience, Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); sales experienced preferred with a demonstrated excellence at meeting sales objectives. Strong background in life insurance, annuities, and/or financial planning. Life Insurance license required.

Insurance Advisor

Department: Direct Sales

Summary: Sells life insurance policies to end users through web leads via phone sales by performing the following duties.

  • Helps in promoting and selling of insurance products by giving sound financial advisory services and customer support to clients.
  • Ability to help consumers with basic needs analysis planning and provide accurate cost comparisons, while helping the customer evaluate best-in-class product solutions to find the right fit to achieve their goals.
  • Maintain high productivity in a multi-tasking environment with the ability to consult 100's of prospective customers every month.

Senior Ruby on Rails Programmer

Job Description

Insureio Technologies, Inc. has an immediate opening for a Senior Ruby Developer for a contract-to-perm or permanent position.  Only senior level engineers will be considered.  Non-local candidates will be considered and remote work is an option; however, preference will be given to local candidates and those willing to relocate to Roseville.  We offer salary, health/dental/vision insurance, paid time off, 401(k), and other benefits.

Ideal Candidate

Should be handy with an entire tech stack and can provide basic server maintenance functions. Work entails the following:

  •  Work with a small team of programmers to develop SaaS
  • Write clear, maintainable code in Ruby on Rails and AngularJS
  • Write automated tests (Think TDD & BDD)
  • Collaborate with product owners to ensure product enhancements are reasonable and architecturally appropriate
  • Develop all portions of a Ruby on Rails-based web application, including front-end JavaScript and CSS components; continually enhance the test suite
  • Maintain existing applications in Ruby on Rails
  • Maintain Linux servers

Skills & Requirements

Candidate should meet the following requirements:

  • English fluency on par with that of a native speaker
  • 3+ years of software development
  • 2+ years with Ruby on Rails
  • 2+ years with SQL (or any SQL-like RDBMS)
  • 2+ years with HTML, CSS, Javascript
  • Fluency in Java, Linux command line, jQuery, AngularJS, Apache, and Git
  • Bonuses for:
  • Familiarity with IIS
  • Working knowledge of Rails 2, 3, & 4
  • Working knowledge of C# & .NET
  • Experience with Linode
