  • We’ve recently made changes to Max Accumulator+, one of our IUL products. Beyond transitioning to CSO 2017 and retaining its standing as a top tier product for cash accumulation and income distribution, the new Max Accumulator+ now offers: (1) Reduced Premium Loads: decrease of -2.5% across most ages/durations; (2) Transparent and Affordable Cost Structure: help generate optimal, stable income in good or bad years; (3) Fast, Exam-Free Underwriting: available with our non-med program and with the optional chronic illness rider, which can also be applied using the increasing death benefit option.

John Hancock

  • Important Details About Transitioning to the 2017 CSO Table. Beginning January 1, 2020 — like all U.S. life insurers — John Hancock must base any new life insurance policy issued on the 2017 Commissioners Standard Ordinary (CSO) Table.   • Updates to the Drop-Ticket Process. Protective has always been a leader in the drop ticket space with a reputation of being easy to work with. We’ve recently made some enhancements to the already great EZ-App process that improve the experience for all parties involved. For more details on the new EZ-App enhancements watch the short webinar linked above. Don’t forget! EZ App isn’t just for Term insurance. EZ App is available for Advantage Choice UL and Index Choice UL.
    • Submit E-Application. EZ-app is a simple, online application available on both desktop and mobile device via myprotective.com or iGo/iPipeline, IXN/Applicint, InsureNOW, Vive, and LifeSpeed.
      • NEW TeleLife EZ-Worksheet is available to agents who are unable to drop a ticket from their desktop or mobile device (it’s a paper app that’s treated as an electronic app!)
      • NEW Text Message Reminders are sent to clients (agents can enroll their clients for the service or clients can opt-in/out)
    • TeleLife Interview. Protective’s in house team conducts the interview within 24-48 hours
      • NEW Direct Transfer to TeleLife available – Agent can call our TeleLife Team immediately after ticket is dropped and conference in Customer
      • NEW Voice Signature can be used to sign the application or the client can choose E-signature or wet signature (once the customer's voice signature has been obtained the underwriting process begins immediately!)
    • Protective Life Underwriting Solution (PLUS). Customers who meet eligibility requirements will be considered for Accelerated Underwriting (Classic Choice term and Custom Choice UL only). No Exam, Labs, or APS for customers who qualify for PLUS.
    • Protective Full Underwriting. We schedule exam and order records
    • Pending Business. Application information available via the Pending Business dashboard on www.myprotective.com
    • Electronic Policy Delivery. E-signatures accepted on delivery requirements

  • Achiever Lifetime Income (GLWB) withdrawal rates increase. Securian Financial continues to listen to the market and evolve our products to meet the ever-changing demands of clients and customers. In case you missed it, the Achiever Lifetime Income single withdrawal rates recently increased for newly issued contracts, ages 62-79. There are no changes to the price of the benefit. Achiever Lifetime Income is an optional benefit available for an additional cost on SecureLink Future™ 7, 9 and 10 fixed indexed annuities. The new single withdrawal rates apply to new applications signed on July 15, 2019, and later. The new rates do not apply to existing or previously submitted applications. Rates are subject to change at any time.
