For the Phase II folks, let’s jump right in.

60-Day Social Media Plan: Phase II This section will introduce you to YouTube. Video is now one of the top forms of media consumed online. You should absolutely take advantage of this trend to stand out and get ahead of the competition.

Day 20: Create a YouTube account and a channel for your business. Complete your profiles fully including pictures, links, and other information.

Day 21: Look for video content related to your niche, make a comment, and add it to your channel’s playlist. Invite your fans, customers, prospects, and vendors from your other social media sites to visit your channel and like/add it to their channel listing.

Day 22: Make a short video discussing your business and what you do. Remember to keep it informational and interesting. Don’t make it a sales pitch. Keep the video to less than 3 minutes—less than 2 minutes is even better.

NOTE: This video does not have to be professional quality. It just needs to be you or someone from your company explaining what you do. This gives a face to your company, and makes it easier for people to engage with your brand.

Day 23: Add your new video to your YouTube playlist and channel. Write a description about it. Be sure to include a link to your website in the description (make sure the link looks like this: http://www.yoursitename.com). Share it on your other social media sites.

Day 24: Write a blog article mentioning your new YouTube account, channel, and video. Be sure to include links to each. You should also embed the video into the blog post so it can be viewed directly from your blog.

Day 25: Post your blog article from yesterday and share it on your social media sites. You can also submit it to Digg and StumbleUpon and ask your friends/fans to share/like/comment on it.

Day 26-27: Find one good article or blog post related to your niche and make a comment (preferably with a link back to your website). Share this same article/post with your friends and your social media sites.

Once again what we’ve done here is we’ve kept things simple and systematized things to create a habit or a rhythm. Once you have this down, it makes it easier to train an employee to take over at a later time.
