  • Fixed Annuities – Rate lock hold increases from 7 to 10 days. Effective May 13, 2024, we’re increasing the amount of time, from 7 to day 10 days, to receive the electronic or paper application, whichever is applicable, from the date it is submitted or signed. This will give clients more time to lock in the higher rate for their fixed or fixed indexed annuity. Please see link for details.
  • New indexed account option added to Lincoln FlexAdvantage® indexed account line-up. Effective for contracts issued on or after May 20, 2024 Lincoln is pleased to announce that we’re adding the 1 Year S&P 500 10% Daily Risk Control Trigger account option to new Lincoln FlexAdvantage® contracts, which will give clients growth potential in an up or flat market. Lincoln’s forms and electronic submission platforms will be updated with the index changes on May 20, 2024. Please see link for details.
  • Now Available – Lincoln MoneyGuard Market Advantage® (2024). Effective May 13, 2024, Lincoln is pleased to launch Lincoln MoneyGuard Market Advantage® (2024), our newest variable linked-benefit solution in the Lincoln MoneyGuard® portfolio, subject to state, SEC, and firm approvals. Product enhancements include introducing a receipt-free indemnity choice that can be elected at time of first claim. Please see link for details.
  • Lincoln Variable Universal Life and MoneyGuard Market Advantage® – Investment Option Updates. Effective May 1 2024, subaccounts investing in the following funds are being added to currently sold variable universal life policies: Lincoln AssetEdge® (2022), Lincoln VULONE (2021), and Lincoln SVULONE (2021).   • Now Available: Model Portfolio Options for Lincoln AssetEdge® VUL (2022). Effective May 13, 2024, Lincoln is adding model portfolio options to its Lincoln AssetEdge® Variable Universal Life Insurance product as a simpler alternative to selecting individual funds. These asset allocation model portfolios utilize passively managed funds to provide a low cost and a well-diversified model solution. Model Portfolios offer applicants simple “check-the-box” options to create a portfolio that meets their specific needs and objectives. Please see link for details.
  • Online Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) Experience For Inforce Policyholders. Starting April 29, 2024, a new online Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) experience will be available for policy owners, which was previously only available in paper form. This new feature enables all established life insurance policy owners, including Lincoln MoneyGuard®, to enroll in Electronic Fund Transfer (EFT) or update an existing EFT enrollment with just a few clicks. Clients no longer need to print, fax, or mail the form — making the process convenient and hassle-free! Please see link for details.

  • MassMutual System Outage Over Memorial Day Weekend to Complete System Upgrade. Due to a scheduled platform upgrade at MassMutual over Memorial Day weekend, new cases should not be started or submitted in iGO for MassMutual products between Saturday, May 25, starting at 5 pm ET through Monday, May 27, 5 pm ET. Any cases started during this time may encounter unexpected credentialing errors. See link for details.
  • MassMutual to Use Only Examiners Contracted with APPS, ExamOne. As of May 23, MassMutual will only allow exams from those examiners who are contracted with APPS and ExamOne. The use of examiners who are not contracted directly with ExamOne or an ExamOne affiliate office are no longer permissible. See link for details.

  • Fluidless Underwriting Program. None of us like needles or having labs drawn, but a new life insurance policy often requires them. Until now. With Mutual of Omaha’s new Fluidless Underwriting Program, clients can now bypass the initial paramed exam for face amounts between $2,000,001 and $10,000,000. That means no extra labs or jabs for them to get the same great life insurance coverage they expect from us. Please see link for details.

  • Long-Term Care Insurance Product Updates, Effective June 3, 2024. Effective June 3, 2024, the Maximum Monthly Benefit will increase from $10,000 to $15,000 on our MutualCare Solutions long-term care products! This will allow clients access to additional benefits if needed and provide a greater sense of security if a long-term care event occurs. Monthly benefit amounts range from $1,500 to $15,000 per month with this new increase*. The total Maximum Monthly Benefit, including long-term care coverage from other companies, will also increase to $15,000. Please see link for details.
