  • NEW: Lincoln LifeEnhance Accelerated Benefits Rider on Lincoln WealthPreserve SIUL coming soon.
    • Effective November 10, 204, Lincoln will introduce a survivorship version of the Lincoln LifeEnhance Accelerated Benefits Rider on Lincoln WealthPreserve Survivorship IUL. Includes updated benefit triggers for when both insureds or the surviving insured develop a permanent chronic or terminal illness. Available at an additional cost in approved states.
  • Term rates getting better: premiums reduced or staying the same for all ages. Effective November 10, 2014, Lincoln LifeElements® Level Term (2014)1 is being refreshed with no pricing increases.For cases not yet in force, the insured will have the choice of products. To request a change on any application currently in underwriting, notify them in writing or email, indicating the desired change. Change points:
    • Solidified key competitiveness at ages 45+ w/face amounts of $500k and higher
    • Improved competitiveness at ages 40-44
    • DB decreases allowed beginning in year four, subject to minimum face amount requirements

MetLife

  • NEW: Restructuring notice & system downtime. MetLife will merge three of its US life insurance companies and one of its offshore reinsurers as of Friday, November 14, 2014, subject to regulatory approval. Please suspend solicitation and sales of fixed and variable life and annuity and individual disability products from November 14-17, 2014. Systems used to generate illustrations, marketing material, forms, and more will be down during this period.
  • Good Order date for GAUL is October 17, 2014. All apps for Guarantee Advantage UL must be received in good order by this date.
